LIVE UPDATES: Sara impeachment hearing | April 22

MANILA, Philippines – The House committee on justice is set to formally adopt Monday its report finding probable cause to impeach Vice President Sara Duterte, paving the way for the transmission of the Articles of Impeachment to the plenary.

The 39-member justice committee last week found probable cause on the complaints seeking Duterte’s ouster, drawing up a case built on allegations of corruption and constitutional violations that could affect her prospects as a presidential contender.

Justice panel chair and Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro said on Sunday the committee has fulfilled its constitutional mandate, finding grounds to impeach Duterte based on official recornds, financial documents and sworn statements.
