The strong statement has sparked discussions among Manila residents, with many interpreting it as a sign of growing tension between the current and former mayors.

In contrast, Moreno took a more reserved approach when asked about Lacuna’s remark, replying calmly, “Peace be with you.”

Moreno’s measured response has also been widely shared, adding to the ongoing conversation about the city’s political landscape.

According to the latest commissioned survey by Daniel Tan from Octa Research, Moreno earned the nod of 86% of respondents while Lacuna got 6%.

As the election season heats up, the contrasting styles and statements of both candidates are likely to further influence public opinion in the run-up to the elections.
