MANILA, Philippines — Voters will have an easier time finding their designated precincts as the list outside the classrooms will have their pictures, Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chair George Erwin Garcia said on Monday.
This feature was unveiled during the nationwide mock elections held on Saturday, January 25. However, the voter’s list with pictures was only in possession of poll workers during that time.

“But on the day of elections, the list outside [of the precinct] will have the pictures—which is colored—of our countrymen, so they will have an easier time finding [their names],” Garcia said in a press conference.
Aside from pictures, the voters’ fingerprints and signatures could be seen by the poll workers who are tasked to verify voter’s information.
On Saturday, 15 cities and municipalities nationwide participated in the mock polls, with 100 voters for each precinct.
Garcia said the voter’s turnout during this activity was at 97 percent.
The three precincts in Sulu were the first to transmit results due to the usage of satellite internet constellation Starlink. Garcia oversaw the mock polls in the province.
