Marcos’ Senate slate sets Pasay City sortie on Tuesday

MANILA, Philippines — The Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas Senate candidates backed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. is set to hold its campaign rally in Metro Manila for the very first time.
Marcos’ senatorial bets are set to face the public on Tuesday, February 18, in Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay City.
“We started strong in Ilocos Norte, brought our message to Visayas and Mindanao, and now we are in the heart of the capital,” Alyanasa campaign manager and Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco said in a statement.
“Metro Manila is crucial to winning in 2025, and this rally will show that we are ready to bring our vision of progress and unity to every Filipino,” Tiangco added.
According to Tiangco, the event is expected to draw thousands of supporters, including local officials and grassroots leaders from across the region.
Senatorial candidates who are expected to grace the event are former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos, Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, Senator Pia Cayetano, Senator Imee Marcos, Senator Lito Lapid, former Senators Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Manny Pacquiao, Senator Ramon Revilla Jr., former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Senator Francis “Tol” Tolentino, former Social Welfare Secretary Erwin Tulfo, and Deputy Speaker Camille Villar.
The Pasay rally follows a sequence of campaign launches in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Iloilo City; and Carmen, Davao del Norte.
