Sen. Bong Revilla files COC for reelection
MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. was greeted with a marching band and several dance breaks when he filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for reelection before the Commission on Elections at Manila Hotel’s Tent City on Monday.

With placards, flags, and shirts bearing Revilla’s picture and name, his supporters danced and cheered, notwithstanding the weather that shifted between gloomy and sunny.
Some opted to dance while some chanted “Revilla, Revilla!” when the senator made his way to the hotel.
INQUIRER.net asked some of his supporters why they were willing to go all out for the senator. Two of them said it was Revilla’s “help” that motivated them.

Article continues after this advertisementAsked what Revilla had specifically done to deserve to be reelected, CJ Cabas said the senator helped them in terms of daily needs.

Revilla, who was acquitted of plunder in the multi-billion pork barrel scam, is Lakas-CMD’s first candidate for the 2025 Senate race. He is also included in the Marcos administration’s Senate slate.
